In February 2006 I set up Weight-2-Go Blankets after making a weighted blanket for my own son to help with his restlessness and sleeplessness associated with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and proprioceptive imbalance.

Back then the choice in the UK was scant. After seeing at first hand the positive effects of weighted blankets in aiding and alleviating the symptoms of sensory integration dysfunction   I wanted to provide a more comprehensive choice   to others who were sharing the same frustrations of limited availability. The aim also was to provide a custom made service, where the customer was in direct control of which fabric combinations they wanted and which weight they needed.

We currently have   quite an extensive, and ever expanding, range of fabrics where you can design a blanket to your own individual specifications. To date we are the only weighted blanket   manufacturer in the world who provide this   individualised interactive service.

We make weighted blankets and lap pads for a wide cross section of people including children and adults with ASD, ADD, ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome and other Insomnia related conditions.

Our customer base also includes Occupational Therapists, Schools, Health Care proffesionals, members of the National Autistic Society and Health Authorities. From the feedback received we know the blankets have made a huge difference to the   quality of life of many children and adults experiencing sensory related dysfunction.

As our   products are not mass produced and   are made to order please allow up to 14 days for manufacture and   delivery of products.
